Production Week 3
Welcome to the Production Week 3 devlog! We have big news on the production and we're almost there with the game mechanics and main level design!
Playing will feel smooth and responsive with the improvements on movement, camera speed and grabbing mechanic feedback. We also added an indicator to the main ship, to never lose the way home!
The forcefield is now online! Our main hub is safe and sound, protected from the asteroids. And the forcefield resource, spawning from asteroids impact, will restore it's strenght! DIVERGE ALL ENERGY TO SHIELDS!
We're also working on the UI with some testing for what will be world events...
One of our resources, the spaceship energy, will be extracter from the warmest lava pools on the planet: the player can grab a heat generator from the spaceship, and drop it in the red lakes... don't worry, it won't break. It's IP68 certified!
Hence lava pools are indeed now present on the surface, and seems like they've been used for energy sinthesys for a long time...
We have our first blockout of plants, with grabbable oxygen resource.
And to wrap it up: the main menu, pause sceen and game over screen are in development!
As you have noticed from the screenshot, the level is finally populated with destructible props! The 3 regions (village, coral forest and wasteland) are now surrounding the landing area, giving resources and threats!
And now... art dump!
Main menu screen is beeing made right now!
